The event started off with many of us meeting at Bunker Hill servo and a planned leisurely convoy cruise up the Hume Hwy to Echuca via a quick stop in Heathcote. It was a bit like herding cats thou

gh, as the group shot off in all directions at different intervals, eventually ending up at the final stop at various times during the afternoon.

A cruise to a local Custom Panel Shop to view their many projects was a treat. I'm sure Rohan had something to do with the touras the majority of cars were 55's...After the workshop tour we were all back toVic Park in Echuca for the Friday Night Registration. The place was buzzing all evening with loads of cars and people gathered to sign in, grab a snag and catch up with good friends.

The party kicked on afterwards for many at the Moama caravan park with a rowdy bunch ending up at Rowie'sto watch the Hawks cement their spot in the Grand Final. The loudest supporter was Rowieof course, (thank god the Hawks won!)

Saturday morning had everyone out cruising the beautiful township of Echuca for the Poker Run and lunch at the Moama Sports Club. The display of classic cars cruising the streets was a stroke of genius with loads of spectators inquiring where the show was, ensuring a great turn out for the Sunday Show n Shine.

Later that afternoon we all boarded twoof Echuca's iconic paddle steamers for a leisurely cruise down the river to the Moama RSL. There, everyone enjoyed a fantastic meal followed by some drinking & dancing to the tunes of Exploded View till late.

Sunday saw most of us up early and bleary eyed to the Echuca Aquatic Reserve for the Show n Shine. The venue is one of the best in Victoria for car shows and looked amazing full of classic cars. The day was going to be huge. The free breakfast and coffee to kick start the weary was very welcome.

Exploded View were there again entertaining the crowds with their great music while the masses either sat around enjoying the band orwalked aroundthe beautiful surrounds looking at theawesome range of cars and merchandise. The All Makes format worked extremely well and meant there was a broad range of cars on show, adding variety to the display and boostingentry numbers.

Bill Duyvestyn and his team of judges had the difficulttask of viewingthe many cars and deciding on the worthy winners. All too quickly the day came to an end. Rowieconducted the final thank you'sand the many raffle draws followed by Bill presenting 21 lucky car entrants with their well deserved awards. The after party at the caravan park helped blow off some steam and enjoy a well earned drink, which was a great way to end abrilliant weekend.

A huge thank you again for the hard work put in by the Convention Committee and all the volunteers. A special mention goes to Rowie, John Xidis and Payden for their effort and countless hours that went into making the event run like clockwork. Thank you also to the many Sponsors including the great support from the Echuca Council, Moama RSL and local cars clubs which got behind the event.

Cheers, David
