Port Fairy Rod Run 2018

We have made this an annual holiday for the past 15 years and the show continues to attract a lot of classy cars from Hot Rods, Classics and even later model cars.

There was a great display of tri-fives the whole weekend.

The weather was a bit cool and wet for the Friday night meet and greet, through Saturday with a lunch in the pavilion followed by a cruise to Warrnambool prior to the evening cruising the streets of Port Fairy.

Sunday dawned with more cloud and cool wind, but it soon cleared to a beautiful sunny day.

Between the 150 odd entries for the weekend and the day trippers on Sunday, over 450 cars were on display on the oval on Sunday. The public attendance was also very large.

This year the format was changed slightly with only one entrants choice award, while a club group selected the Top 5. There was also a Club choice, Ladies Choice, Police Choice and a Mayor choice.

With some really good vehicles on display unfortunately not one award went to a tri-five.

Kaye was lucky enough to win the raffle and collected a number of hot rod hardware items including an accelerator cable, carby spring bracket, auto dip stick, spark plug lead covers and an overflow tank.

We then kicked back for the rest of the time and relaxed.
